light sketch is our design in a day service, providing a great, creative personal, interactive experience where we can take you from a rough idea to an deliverable design by the time it's time to get your evening meal on. Ideal for those who love to work in person with their designer and get a quick turnaround.

What can you expect during light sketch?

• An enjoyable day working through the design process

• We'll get creative together, using your design vision, our expertise and ideas drawn from our own work and other case studies to conjure something special

• You'll receive style guidance, feeding in patterned earth's signature style, as we consider hard landscaping ideas and materials choices,

  plant palettes and colour combinations and insights on suitable trees & shrubs to get the planting just right

• We'll create hand drawn designs, plans and, time permitting, beautiful hand drawn sketches to that demonstrate how you're garden is going to look

How does light sketch work?

Our ambition for lite sketch is to deliver an accelerated design service that also gives you the flexibility to complete the latter stages of garden installation yourself.

Before we call by, we have a pre-appointment phone discussion to get a feel of your vision of the garden and any frustrations you currently have

On the day, morning sessions typically cover walking the site, understanding the space, brainstorming initial ideas, targeting any problem areas and thinking of what we can do within your budget

This is followed by an afternoon of sketching some initial designs, exploring hem with you, honing and refining as we go, until we've landed on a chosen one.

We then work into the detail by the end of the day in the likes of planting design, landscaping and materials choices, to deliver your final plans, ready for you think about installation.

who will I work with?

You'll work with Brian Roberts, patterned earth's professional, accredited garden designer throughout the day.

what do i need to provide?

As per our Standard Terms of Engagement, which you can find on the patternedearth website, our Clients are important collaborators to deliver the outdoor space you desire. While we work together we make some reasonable requests to make sure we deliver what you need, such as providing a client brief to get us going, any relevant site information you have to hand, access to the site for survey and analysis, and regular communication between us so we can check in and make sure everything's designed as planned.

We'll firm up these arrangements during an early visit to you at site.

what will we achieve?

As our specialist design service, Sketch takes you from your initial - often rough ideas for your garden to a set of install ready designs and plans that you can pick up and go from there. Once you've overseen its installation, there's also the option to commission our Steward Service, should you wish to have us help you further to look after your garden.

What will i receive?

You'll receive full a set of install ready designs and plans, ready for you to take the next steps on your new garden with confidence, either securing a landscaper, doing the installation yourself, plus sourcing, purchasing and planting the plants you'll need.

What if I would like to use patterned earth for my garden again after your sketch service has completed?

Because we've worked with you already, we have most of the key information we'll need – should you to either want to

• take up the added benefits of the sculpt service's contract, project management and planting supply add ons

• decide you'll like to acquire our Steward Service,

• Or have us back at a later date if your vision for the garden changes.
