You get all the creativity and detail of the Sketch package—but we stay with you into the build phase, project managing trusted local contractors, ensuring quality throughout, and personally sourcing and installing plants that bring the whole design to life.

  • 20+ years experience in contract and project management to help you find then work with the right team for hard landscaping, then keep a keen eye on how things are going so the final result meets the beautiful design we've produced.

  • And, also as part of Sculpt we use our network of patterned earth approved nurseries to deliver quality plants with traceable provenance at close to wholesale prices, then get our sleeves up to get planting!

How does sculpt work?

Our ambition for sculpt is a hassle free, complete service from design to final garden. We work through a number of defined stages that align with RIBA stages. We take you on a journey through site analysis, brainstorming, design concept, master planning, detailed construction and planting design, contractor sourcing, hard landscaping and finally setting out and planting your plants. And you're done!

Its our mission to deliver a new beautiful outdoor space that connects you to nature and reflects the character of where you live, who you are and what you like to do. In essence your very own somewhere garden... somewhere you belong.

is it right for me?

Sculpt is the service for you if:

who will I work with?

You'll work with Brian Roberts, patterned earth's professional, accredited garden designer, contract and project manager.

As the design progresses we may bring in specialist consultants covering things like land surveys, tree preservation etc - depending on your site. And as installation draw closer we'll work together to source a trusted contractor to perform all the hard landscaping.

what do i need to provide?

As per our Standard Terms of Engagement, which you can find on the patternedearth website, our Clients are important collaborators to deliver the outdoor space you desire. While we work together we make some reasonable requests to make sure we deliver what you need, such as providing a client brief to get us going, any relevant site information you have to hand, access to the site, and regular communication between us so we can check in and make sure everything's going as planned.

We'll firm up these arrangements during an early visit to you at site.

what will we achieve?

As our complete landscape and garden design service, Sculpt takes you from your initial ideas, hopes and dreams for your garden to a fully finished garden you'll love. There's also the option to commission our Steward Service, should you wish to have us help you further to look after your garden.

What will i receive?

From the site design phase you'll receive full a set of install ready designs and plans, ready for us together to take the next steps on your new garden with confidence, when we secure a contractor, get on with the installation and source and plant your beautiful plants.

During the project management stage you'll receive regular site visits, site inspection reports, any issues flagged and scoped for solution for your decision, and our regular communication with the contractor providing hard landscaping so we work together to deliver to the brief.

Finally, during plant sourcing and purchase, you'll receive priced up supply quotes, plants delivered from chosen nurseries, and on site inspection of plants supplied to ensure they are of the right quality. Then we'll set out and plant the garden, followed by a well earned cup of tea.

What if I would like to use patterned earth for my garden again after your sculpt service has completed?

Because we've worked with you already, we have most of the key information we'll need – should you decide you'll like to acquire our Steward Service, or have us back at a later date if your vision for the garden changes.
